Watery walkies work wonders

Walking the dog takes on a whole new meaning - and for a one woman, a whole new vocation - when a treadmill and hydro tank are added to the mix.

When Vicki Cordier isn't working her day job in IT, she's indulging her passion for animal rehabilitation at Active Paws, a hydrotherapy centre and gym for dogs (and the odd game feline). It operates from the New Zealand Kennel Club in Elsdon, near Porirua, Wellington. It features the first Hydro Physio underwater treadmill for pets in the region, and one of only a few nationwide.
